JUDGE
Judge is about a different kind of hero. Part detective, part avenging angel, he steps in to help when there has been a miscarriage of justice and the system has failed. Judge is a crack shot and superb fighter. He gained those skills as a boxer in college, where he studied law, and as a former army ranger and sniper.
Judge will not break any law, though he will bend to the point of breaking. He will not kill unless he is forced to in order to save himself or someone else. Judge works weekend evenings as an informal judge of small claims for homeless people who have no access to a real court.
He is assisted by his friends Ares and Hannah Stein. Both are natives of Israel and veterans of the Israel Defense Force. They fought with Judge in the recent conflicts in the Middle East. Ares is a hacker, tinkerer, and maker. He comes up with innovative weapons for Judge to use. Hannah cares for their family and runs a Krav Maga studio along with Ares.
Judge is a complex man with a troubled past, but he is not emotionally crippled or compromised. As a Christian, he has overcome his past and is stronger for it. He enjoys his work, both helping to care for the needs of the homeless and finding and beating up the bad guys. He lives humbly in the basement of Stein’s pawn shop.
Judge is our first title in the BAM! Comix line and will be available on a payment/subscription model. We will also launch a crowdfunding campaign to fund a print edition. Stay tuned for more details.
SLASHERS
Admit it, who doesn’t love a good slasher movie? Provided it’s good. Really good. And really good slasher films are few and far between. We here at BAM! asked the question, what would happen if you dropped a few good slasher movie villains into the real world. Maybe someplace like…Texas. Then we came up with the answer.
Because what is more heroic than taking on a chainsaw-wielding maniac?
Or Zombies?
In Texas.
The Slashers line will be posted here and available for free.
Mace/shaft!
Because who doesn’t like a good Star Wars parody, especially starring a certain Jedi master that lost his arms and was thrown out a window somewhere near the end of Episode III. We never actually saw him die. He could still be out there, lurking on the fringes of the Empire, or what used to be the Empire, wreaking havoc as only a forgotten f****** Jedi Master can. Besides, it seemed like a waste of Mr. Jackson’s formidable talents that he never got to open up a can of whoop-* on old Palps.
Mace/Shaft will be posted here and available for free.
Any resemblance to names and likenesses of fictional characters or real people in this title is in a fictional and/or parodic manner.
terror at 35,000 feet
We’re about to find out how important those pre-flight safety briefings are, and why they tell us to take certain…actions.
No, this has nothing to do with the Twighlight Zone. Or William Shatner.
Terror at 35,000 Feet will be posted here and available for free.
